The following are the terms and conditions for use of the Contact Lenses Department of the Vhi Health Shop Website. This Website is for use by people who are 18 years and over only.

These terms of use should be read in conjunction with the 'Terms and Conditions’ of the Vhi HealthShop.

Contract

The submission by you of a contact lens application form constitutes an offer by you to purchase contact lenses for the value specified in the application form at the price set out therein and authorises Solo Optics to debit your debit or credit card with that amount.

We will notify you by e-mail of the receipt and acceptance or non-acceptance of your order.

The purchase by you of contact lenses through this service constitutes a contract between you and Solo Optics Limited..

Solo Optics will process your payment and organise delivery of your order. You will be dealing directly with Solo Optics if you have any order queries or wish to return any item.

Payment

Payment must be made in full prior to products being despatched failing which we may at our absolute discretion refuse to effect delivery.

Only payments by credit card or Laser card will be accepted. Card details will be accepted on the secure form provided online or by contacting us at the dedicated phone number.

Your credit card or bank statement will state that payment has been processed by Solo Optics Limited.

Payment for contact lenses is by way of debit card, credit card or cheque. In the event that your card details have been fraudulently used we will cover your liability up to a maximum of €100 provided that the unauthorised use of your credit card resulted through no fault of your own from purchases made at Solo Optics whilst using our secure server and you have notified your bank/ credit card issuer of the unauthorised use and followed their procedure for recovery from this use.

Delivery

Contact lenses will be delivered to you at the address you have specified by post

We will endeavour to deliver the products to you within 3-5 working days of your order being placed. However, products are subject to availability and delays may sometimes occur that are outside of our control

If there is a delay in processing your order, we will contact you providing you with the option to cancel the order with full refund or change the order.

You are responsible for providing correct address and telephone number. We cannot accept responsibility for late or non-delivery if recipient address and telephone details are insufficient or incorrect. 

Risk in respect of products transfers to you the buyer upon receipt of the goods.

Deliveries will be made within the Island of Ireland only.

No delivery charges will apply to your order.

Solo Optics undertake to supply you with the exact type and brand of contact lens prescribed by your optician in the contact lens prescription sent by you to Solo Optics. Contact lenses will be packaged in the original manufacturer's sealed package.

Returns / Money Back

If for any reason you wish to return the lenses we will give you a full refund on any lenses returned unopened and in the original packaging. To discuss such arrangements please contact please contact Solo Optics on 1850 929 100.

We undertake to replace any defective contact lenses free of charge - simply return the contact lenses to us.

Ownership Rights and Limitations

All products are the property of the Company until all outstanding debts to the Company and/or its associate companies have been paid for in full. This Site, its contents together with any trade names used by the Company are protected by intellectual property rights and permission is only given for personal use. Any use beyond that permitted may constitute an infringement of owners' rights and may be prosecuted.

Miscellaneous

Contact lens wear can affect the health of your eyes. In the supply of all contact lenses, all eye care practitioners have to meet certain legal obligations in the interest of their patient's ocular health. If you wish to have your contact lenses supplied by Solo Optics Limited to a specification issued elsewhere you should understand that:

Solo Optics Limited rely on the details supplied by you and the contact lens specification provided by your optician to supply you with contact lenses. Your contact lens prescription must have been issued within 12 months prior to placing your order with Solo Optics Limited. You have not been advised to stop wearing contact lenses by an eye care or medical practitioner and have not, within the last 12 months suffered from any eye condition requiring treatment.

Solo Optics Limited can accept no responsibility for a customer's lack of suitability to wear contact lenses as detailed in the prescription, or for their overall suitability to wear contact lenses.
